Ceramic knives are made of an material called Zirconia or more correct Zirkonium Dioxide.The knives hardens in fire in about 1400 degrees Celsius and after that they get extremely hard,harder then metal knives made of hardened steel.According to Mohs scale a knife of hardened steel has a hardness of about 6,0 and a ceramic knives 8,5 compared with Diamonds witch is 10.

LIGHTER

Ceramic knives are very light and the weight of the knife is at least half of the weight compared to a metal knife in the same size which makes it easier to handle.

Ceramic knives do not replace steel knives entirely.
